A 21st Century “gspl txt” PDF Print E-mail
Written by Rachel K.

A couple of months ago my cell phone went missing. I was on break at work when I first discovered that it was gone. The pocket of my backpack in which it usually resides was unzipped. That evening, I called my number from my grandfather’s cell phone, and it went right to the voice mail. But the next time I tried, it rang several times. My suspicions were confirmed when a few minutes later I got two text messages on my grandfather’s phone, “Leave me alone,” and “Don’t EVER call me again.”

The American (Day)Dream PDF Print E-mail
Written by Rachel K.

I’ve learned a lot of things since I started working as a nurse. I learned about medications, diseases, human nature, and life and death. I’ve learned a lot about reality, And I’ve learned about reality shows. Written by Janice Nicholson

Thinking recently about our assembly in Thorold South, I wondered how we could grow. Not in just reaching out to the lost, but in winning souls and actually teaching them so that they grow in the Lord and stay in the assembly. I have seen a lot of faces come and go and wonder what really works. How do we really disciple children of God? How can the youth be a part of process?

I ask this because I did not grow up in the assemblies. I was led to the Lord by a friend in high school, was discipled by her family, and have been in the assemblies ever since. I think that the youth and their families have the opportunity to be a huge influence on the growth in the assemblies.

Powered Youth Wants You! PDF Print E-mail
Written by David N.

Do you have an inspiring story? A time in your life where God has worked a miracle? We would like to present your story to the readers of Powered Youth. So if you had a chance to witness to friend who has been closed to the gospel, or God helped you through a rough time when you really needed Him, maybe you had a prayer answered that was so obviously from God...

We are interested in these stories, to encourage other youth throughout the world. If you would like to write up the story for all to read. Please keep it around five hundred words long, you can send it in if you go to the contact page and send it to Sharon Nicholson who will read your stories and put them on the site if appropriate.
